ASR offers training in two key areas: rescue robotics and robot operation. Each class provides rigorous hands-on training coupled with classroom lectures. Every class is taught by highly trained and experienced professionals. Our robotic technical search and rescue field team has spent hundreds of hours in the field working with scientists, fire-rescue professionals, and military personnel. Each rescue team member also serves as a special operations volunteer with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue; many are technical search specialists with Florida Regional Task Force 3; and all have graduate degrees in business, computer information systems, or computer science and engineering. Our most powerful field experience came through our use of robotics technology during the September 11 World Trade Center rescue effort. Our diverse field experiences and rescue certifications have allowed us to create a training course that will compact our years of experience into an intensive training that will leave you knowledgeable—and as importantly, comfortable—with using our equipment in the field.
